The Blue Devils return ten lettermen, including senior Garret Sperling (32-4 / 2nd place D-23), and will be looking to improve on last year's eight win campaign and compete for the B-Central title.
The strength of the lineup will lie in the stretch between 119 through 140 where Sperling anchors a group that features talented junior Luke Bush (27-7), senior Tyler Kimble (19-15) and Connor and Derek Arnette.
The numbers are a bit thin up top, so juniors Kevin Chapman and Mike MacStudy will be relied on heavily to carry the load while the newcomers try and make their mark.

Wrestler To Watch: (Sr) Garret Sperling
Sperling (84 career wins) figured to be in the mix for a trip to Atlantic City in 2009 before an injury suffered at Region practice derailed his bid. He's fully recovered now and will take aim at earning the first District title for the Blue Devils since 2002 and earning a trip to Boardwalk Hall.
DESPO's Outlook
The good news for Shore is that with 31 wrestlers in the room, the numbers are strong. The bad news is most of those bodies are around the 125-140 mark where they are strong to begin with. Still, they will be very solid in the middle and the schedule is favorable as they will have about a month to break in the newcomers before their big divisional matchup with Pt. Beach who will be fielding a very similar lineup. A tough non-conference slate that includes Long Branch, Pt. Boro, Middletown South, Matawan, Wall, and TR North will only benefit this team come post-season where they have a good shot at pushing several guys through to Regions, especially with Long Branch moving out of their District.
